How Many Members Can You Recruit?
May 25, 2022 to September 1, 2022

Rules

  • Reach out to your United Way colleagues – past or present – and encourage them to become a member of United Way NEXT if they are not already a member (lapsed members count if they have not been a member in the past year).
  • Prospective Members can be retirees, alumni of any age, whether still in the workforce or doing something else, current United Way professionals or local United Ways.
  • Provide this link to them to sign up [http://www.unitedwaynext.org/join-renew.html].
  • In the space on the Membership Form that says “Recommended by,” instruct them to enter your name.
  • Let them know that there is a special opportunity for new individual members to join at a reduced rate (see Levels of Membership).
  • All new member sign-ups must be in the system by Midnight ET on September 1, 2022. ​

  • Individual $25 or New Members- 2 Years @ $47.50
  • Leadership $100 or New Members- 2 Years @$190
  • Patron $250 or New Members- 2 Years @ $475
  • Benefactor $500 or New Members- 2 Years@ $950
  • Champion $1000 or New Members- 2 Years @$1900​

  • Contributor $250
  • Bronze $251-$499
  • Silver $500-$999
  • Gold $1000-$1499
  • Platinum $1500+

Opportunities to Win Swag and Be Recognized

Pacesetter
The individuals who recruit the most new members – individuals or local United Ways – by Midnight ET on July 31, 2022, will be recognized in each category and combined.
Top Three Recruiters
The top three individuals who recruit the most new members – individuals or local United Ways -- by contest end on September 1st will be recognized in each category and combined.
Regional Recruitment
The individual who recruits the most new members in a United Way Worldwide region – individuals and local United Ways – by contest end on September 1st will be recognized. Regions are: Northeast; Southeast; Central North; Central South; and, Western.
Demographic Recruitment
The individual who recruits the most new members in each category below and combined by contest end on September 1st will be recognized as follows:
  • United Way Alumni – individuals who have worked at a United Way at any time during their career;
  • Active United Way Staff – individuals who are currently employed by a United Way; or,
  • Local United Way – local United Ways that are not current members (lapsed members count if not a member in the past year).

Announcement of Winners

​Winners will be announced during the Annual United Way NEXT Gathering in Louisville, KY, September 27 to October 1, 2022. Another good reason to attend the Annual Gathering to hear your name announced!
