Carole Peters, President & CEO United Way NEXT
Most recently, Carole served as President and CEO of United Way of Greater McHenry County, IL, a role she held from 2017 to 2021. During that time, she also served on the executive leadership committee of the United Way of Illinois State Association Board of Directors. During her time on that board, Peters helped develop a CEO onboarding program and educational series to support local United Way’s leaders and staff across the state. Also, over the past several years, she’s served as guest faculty at the United Way Great Rivers conference.

​As the spouse of a career Navy officer, Christina sees strong similarities between the bonds formed among those who maintain lifelong connections through their branch of service and those who remain connected through service to United Way Worldwide.

Katelyn Guest, Program Marketing Associate
​Katelyn began her career in the nonprofit sector serving as an intern at the United Way of Walworth County in Southeastern Wisconsin. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work at different United Way Partner Agencies, local charities, and the Indiana State Senate. United Way has shaped her passion of advocacy, community service, and philanthropy.
