UW NEXT Planned Giving Learning Session and Office Hours
4:00 - 5:00 pm ET This session will provide a valuable learning opportunity entitled I Can’t Do All That: Rethinking Objections to Starting a Planned Giving Program, led by Rochelle Zeidman and Jeffrey Stec, UW NEXT Planned Giving Faculty, and facilitated by Dan Dunne and Denise Fleckenstein, UW NEXT Planned Giving Faculty. Session Details: Everyone says you need planned giving, but introductory courses don’t address your concerns about starting a program. Rather than try to teach you planned giving, this course will directly address the challenges you foresee and offer simple explanations for why you don’t need to worry. Whether you are a CEO, development director, or board member, bring your specific objections. This will not be a lecture but an opportunity for an authentic dialogue about real dilemmas like current vs. future budget impact, staff capacity, technical competencies, and competing priorities. In addition to our expert facilitators, current LUWs and alumni will share how they dealt with the challenges that are keeping you and your LUW from enjoying the fruits of a successful planned giving program.
