UW NEXT Wellness Series Part 3- Supporting A Loved One with Mental Illness: One Family's Journey
2-3 pm ET Mental illnesses are common in the United States. It is estimated that more than one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness. Mental illnesses include many different conditions that vary in degree of severity, ranging from mild to moderate to severe. Mental illness affects not only the individual but also their entire support system, particularly their family. Understanding the importance of family support in the journey to recovery, this learning session will delve into various aspects of mental health and offer guidance on fostering a supportive environment. UW NEXT is thrilled to have guest speaker, Jim Yu, Vice Chair of the National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder and an instructor for the Family Connections program. Cocoa with Carols- A Holiday Gathering
1-2:30 pm ET Join UW NEXT CEO, Carole Peters and UW NEXT Board Member, Carol Burger for a holiday social on Tuesday, 12/12 at 1-2:30pm ET. This virtual gathering of United Way friends will provide 90 minutes of fellowship, fun and festivities.
